This means that any communications with RSEmulate 5000 have to be done via OPC DA. RSLogix Emulator 5000 is a software simulator for the Allen Bradley line of Logix 5000 controllers (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FlexLogix, SoftLogix5800 and DriveLogix). However, it can communicate with RSLinx Classic.

I believe RSEmulate 5000 cannot communicate over Ethernet.
